一九六八年南美自由盃係第九屆南美自由盃，係南美洲最頂級个腳球會賽事，由南美洲腳球協會主辦。

第一圈

Twenty teams were drawn into five groups of four . In each group , teams played against each other home-and-away . The top two teams in each group advanced to the Second round . 競賽會，the title holders , had a bye to the Semifinals .

Ten teams were drawn into three groups , two groups of three and one groupof four . In each group , teams played against each other home-and-away . The top team in each group advanced to the Semifinals , along with Racing Club .
